When mounting between:
Two walls without any baseboards: the opening width must be between 28 inches and 42 inches.

Two walls with one baseboard: the opening width must be between 29 inches and 43 inches

Two walls with baseboards: the opening width must be between 30 inches and 43.5 inches

One banister post and one wall without a baseboard: the opening width must be between 28 inches and 42 inches wide.

One banister post and one wall with a baseboard: the opening width must be between 29 inches and 42.5 inches.

Two banister posts: the opening width must be between 28.5 inches and 42 inches
